The Fashion Industry is the 3rd largest wasteful sector of all industries, globally. Profound and problematic, creating a way to eliminate such waste within the industry is a daily battle for all of us to tackle. Today's guest on Fashionology Today, GIL, brought a unique view to the industries waste and also gave our viewers insight into his decision to become an UPCYCLING Designer, magical. GIL recently graduated from college, a degree outside of the industry he has fallen in love with, and he is self taught, incredible, but through and through his words were a continual lesson for all about the way any of us can help re-establish the industry as a recycling sector. GIL will continue to self teach and continue to buy suit jackets from GOODWILL for $5.00 and continue to turn these previously wasted clothing into beautiful pieces of wearable art. His dream is to collaborate with KIDSUPER and grow his company, GIVEIDEASLIFE into a profitable institution for anyone with an artistic edge a place to learn, love and live a creative life with one thing in mind; UPCYCLING and ending the very wasteful side to an otherwise magnificent industry.
